who we are

we are a family-run business, dedicated to making a change in the world, both near and far. we are located on the island of alameda in the bay area in northern ca.

we began our journey after living in a small fishing village in thailand and embracing the culture, lifestyle, and people around us. we wanted a way to give back, to help, and to change lives. this is our way.

Fair trade is based on economic and social justice. It's key goals are to empower low income, disadvantaged artisans around the globe, and to promote understanding and justice. Silk Road purchases goods through fair trade organizations that follow these principles:
